As soon as you walk in they are very friendly and offer you sampling of the food before you make your decision on what to buy. If you’re looking for authentic flavor and welcoming service, this is the place to be. The Jollof rice was perfectly seasoned and lived up to the name—it was definitely "on point." The Dodo (fried plantains) was sweet and cooked just right, and the beef was tender and packed with savory goodness. Beyond the food, the people here are what make it special. They are so friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. It’s clear they put a lot of love into their cooking and their community. I’ll definitely be back for more. I'm not overly adventurous when it comes to cuisine, but I'd always been curious about this place whenever I was in this shopping center. I finally decided to give it a try this afternoon and I'm so glad that I did! They asked if it was my first time and when I said yes they gave me a taste of a number of different foods (all delicious). I got the jollof rice, a spicy spinach side, and scoops of beef and goat stews and it was all so good! The owner/chef then came out and gave me a hug and a complimentary pastry dessert made fresh (I'm not special lol, everyone who walked in was greeted like family). It was just a delightful experience, and I love that in our little corner of Maryland we have the opportunity to share with so many different cultures.
